Custom Tank Help

Hey guys, I am making plans to build a Melamine enclosure for my Bp. Please read my ideas and offer any suggestions. Thanks

For starters my house is always on the cooler side. 60s at night and mid 70s during the day. I like it on the cooler side.

I plan on building a 36 wide by 17 deep by 15 tall enclosure. Sliding plexiglass doors will go on the front and the rest will be solid melamine.

Here is where I need advice. For heating, I plan on using a UTH. I am going to cut a whole on the bottom right side of thank 15 by 15. I am then going to route a lip in the opening and silicone a 16 by 16 tile onto that lip. When finished the tile will be flush with the floor. I am going to install uth to bottom on the tile. I also plan on using a ceramic heater on the top for additional heat because I dont think the uth will be enough and I really dont want heat lights because of its effect on humidity. Should I hook up a thermostat for the uth and the ceramic heater? Or just one of them? Leave the ceramic on 24/7 and regulate uth with thermostat or vis versa? Please advise!!! Thanks soo much.
I also plan on using led lights inside for day/night viewing.

You definitely need a thermostat for both things. Also look into radiant heat panels instead of the ceramic heater you could have it set at around 80 to keep the ambient temps up and the uth set to 90 for the hot spot.

Agree with this. I have RHP's in my 48"x30"x18" Boamasters and they are awesome at maintaining the ambient temperature.

I'd definitely go with a radiant heat panel. I don't have a uth in my Proline cage the radiant heat panel creates a hotspot and the temp gradient. If you fiddle with it enough you can get the perfect hotspot/temp gradient throughout the cage :) if you do actually decide on a heat panel I would go with Pro Products. They make the best heat panels.
