    AP Cages?
Thinking of buying the T8 for my BP, it's on sale right now and while I know a tub would work just as well, I like the more aesthetic look of the cage. That said, if I choose not to get the lock for an additional 20$ extra, will the cage still be secure? The website is not clear on this...also, how effective is the flexwatt in keeping the ambient heat in the cage up?

    The Serpent Merchant
The lock is not necessary to keep the snake in the cage. I get them to keep other people out of my cages.

As long as the room the cage is in stays above 68 F Flexwatt will be enough. I live in Orlando and That's all I use on my cages. The available fluorescent light fixtures will also help boost the air temp inside the cage. I would get at least 1, but preferably 2 (if you are planning on using a divider with the cage you have to get 2 lights)

I would shell out the extra 20 for the lock, can't put a price on a piece of mind that your animals are secure.

Lol I'm having enough trouble convincing myself to shell out the 256 for the cage and heat...they're so nice, though. :D
