feeding

does anyone know if gerbils are a good food source for a bp have had trouble getting my bp to feed have tried everything frozen but to no avail tonight I tried a fair size gerbil about the same size as a small wenear rat ,turned my back for 5 mins and gone not a trace lol

People generally don't feed gerbils because they are expensive feeders. And if you feed older animals live, they are more dangerous than rats due to their larger teeth.

Not to mention that gerbils and hamsters are like crack to BPs.
It is nearly impossible to get a snake to take another rat or mouse after a gerbil fed BP. It's not impossible, but it is extremely difficult to switch back to more common feeders.

gerbils are £2.50 here so at most £5.00 a week only have the one bp so hes worth that al day long rather have him feeding than not feeding
