Hets from new breeders

Ok so my first real season I plan to have an ax fire x clown pairing and an ax fire x piebald pairing. Provided odds are in my favor I plan on keeping a male and two females from each clutch to give me better odds of hitting the lightning pied and ax clown down the road. Now the extras Id want to sell since I don't need that many. Would you personally buy from a breeder that is new but is a frequent member on here? Pictures of pairings provided and genetic guarantees of course. I figure I'd need to price mine lower than well known breeders but I'd rather not sell them as normals.

That's a "depends on the person" question.
A het is always a gamble and the few that lie and cheat screw the rest of us and we already know paperwork doesn't mean much of anything.
Honestly you can ask whatever price you would like and then negotiate down from there.

If I knew you and saw you active on here..saw things like pictures of locks, eggs, snakes coming out of eggs etc. I would buy from you...honestly would not pay the same as I would buying from a really big breeder but I would still pay more than normal prices.

I actually had no problem selling Het Pieds last season. Take pics of locks, ovy and eggs, and along with your presence on the forum you should have no issues getting market value on your animals.

Not a bad idea to keep 2.2 of each either. Your females may not be fond of the one male you hold back.

I think you'd definitely have better luck here where folks "know" you than advertising on a site where you're not known. But I don't think it's impossible for first-time breeders to sell hets. Price them reasonably and make sure you document all the steps along the way, with pictures of the pairings and the mom on eggs, etc. While it's certainly possible for folks to intentionally fake such pictures in order to sell fake hets, very few actually do. A guy lying about fake hets is usually doing so on the spur of the moment or with animals they just picked up. They're unlikely to have recessive snakes that they can actually take pictures of in the mating process. SO...if you can show all that, you help reduce the risk-factor for folks that don't know you.

I don't think you will have much of a problem. Just document everything and be open and honest. I may buy one from you myself when you have them available.

I think it would be easier to sell hets you produced versus hets that someone else produced, especially if you have pictures of locks, mom on eggs, the clutch, etc. if you're the breeder and are willing to guarantee the genetics. Otherwise, you could be completely honest, but if you were selling someone else's hets... what if that person lied to you?
