75 gallon terrarium needs lid and stand
Hi all, I was wondering if I could get some advice on how to make a lid and stand for a 75 gallon tank I bought. It's dimensions are tricky because while the tank dimensions are 48×18 the plastic edging makes it 48 1/2×18 1/2" . I also need it to be tough since it will be housing a 6ft boa. What would be the best way to go about doing this? Thanks for looking.

For the lid:
1. You might be able to make one from 2x2s and hardware cloth or plexiglass. Frame it out like a glass door and fasten the materials together.
2. Check your local reptile and aquarium stores for these: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...d%20tank%20lid
And here are the locks that work very well with those lids: http://www.amazon.com/Zilla-09732-Lo...inged+tank+lid
I used option 2 on my 55 gallon tanks and they worked well.
Keep an eye on this thread as it covers the lid topic: http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...73#post2242873
For the stand I'll leave that up to the uber DIY people and carpenters. You could try finding a cheap stand online or at a PETCO/Petsmart/aquarium store. Cheapest one i see on amazon is $190. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_pg_1?...qid=1398227690
