Need serious breeding help :(
I'm going mad! My black pastel male is 7-8 months, weighs 600-700g, and He's producing sperm. BUT he's not interested in the ladies at ALL and my females aren't interest in my male!!!! So this brings me down to a few heavy questions:
1. Yes all are sexed properly! So what should I do?
2. How do I get them interested? I tried the misting more and the shed of another breeding male.
3. How do I get virgin females to breed?
4. Does cooling really play that big of an impact?
5. One female is expected to lay every august (first year owning her) and I've been trying to pair her up since last month. No luck at all
Please I need advice from you experienced breeders :/

Re: Need serious breeding help :(
just because a male has the size and age, doesn't mean the he will breed. he may not have any interest until next breeding season. this happens and happens a lot. I have 2 males right now showing no signs that they want to breed. I know the females are ready to breed, using an ultrasound. it happens. are your females showing any signs of building?
Re: Need serious breeding help :(
Thank you everyone! First breeder so I'm still getting used to everything--not a new owner though ;)
ROACH-her previous breeder said she lays every august so I'm expecting her to lay then. Lol a storm? Hmm interesting lol :)
Don15681-ah gotcha, though everyone says he will kick in soon :/ I don't see any signs in the females yet...maybe in my black back if being more grouchy counts lol.
Coopers Constrictors-I'm upgrading to a C Serpent rack tomorrow and it comes with a thermostat so I'll be able to control my heat better. I'll certainly start the cooling process and see how it goes though!

Re: Need serious breeding help :(
He's right, a drop in barometric pressure with advancing storms can be a major catalyst for breeding. Works quite often in my experience. I'd keep them separate and watch the weather forecast and pair them the day before a rainstorm. Not sure fire and unfortunately sometimes they just won't go. I've had several males go dormant this season, happens every year. And my severe case was my Lav-Albino PH Dream. She took five years, never once locking or showing any interest in the Double Het male. Almost gave up, but this season I started her a couple months early and recorded -18- locks. Go figure. Mother nature holds all the cards, so be patient, they'll go eventually. Good luck.
