Ball python: Odd behavior or not?
I have a yearling, he's only around 4 months old right now and has been doing fine. He has been shedding and eating fine. The past few nights I have noticed him taking his head and part of his body and placing it on the side of the cage/glass and facing towards the top of the cage. I'm not sure why he is doing this and not sure if it is odd behavior or not. I have pics if it would help, just wondering why he could be doing this.

Pictures would do it more justice.

Mine does it all the time. She will get her head all the way to the top and just flick her tong. I notice her doing it mostly near feeding day. I think she is searching for food.

Thats perfectly normal, my BP's do that all the time mainly at night once in a while during the day. Its pretty much them just looking around and exploring their area to see whats up, just a snake being active nothing to worry about.

Mine do that all the time as well. I notice them doing it mostly at night, but that is when I feed so... maybe it's their way of begging? :P Who knows, but it is normal.

Thanks guys! I wasn't sure if he was trying to get cleaner air higher up or what. Really wasn't too worried as his mouth wasn't open or anything, was just wondering what was going on.
