Heating problems, HELP PLEASE !
Hello,
i've had my ball P for 1 1/2 years and use a small container for water, a hiding spot, aspen bedding, a climbing stick, a thermometer a hydrometer all in a small rubber made tub its not crowded though. anyway I have a thermostat attatched to a heating pad and heat safe tape is taping in on the bottom it stays about 88-92 F degrees, my problem is is that the air temp. is only 77 F when it should be 85 F my question is how to get it to 85 F?! THANKS! :confusd:
Gigi.

Hi,
Heat pads don't really increase ambient air temps.
You could possibly try an incandescent lamp on a dimmer switch to boost them slightly as long as you guarded it safely.

Post a couple of photos of your setup so we can get a better idea what you're working with.
Also, 85 is too hight for ambient temps. They should be around 78-82.
