Hides: better to be slightly too big or too small?
Hello everyone,
I just picked up my first BP last Saturday and she's presently in quarantine. I have two homemade hides in there with her now and I found, after lifting up one to check the temp with my heat gun, that she barely fit in it...as in, when she uncoiled, I couldn't sit it back down without it being on top of her body.
I know BPs like tight hides, but would it be possible for the hide to be too small (i.e. could she get herself in and not be able to get herself out)? I have some plastic hides from reptile basics as well, but thought the "medium" was too large for her (she is 134 grams) but found the "small" size far too tiny.
Would it be better for me to leave her as-is or to replace the small hides with the medium ones and maybe crumple up some newspaper inside of them to take up the extra space?
Thanks for your help!

All you need is a flat screwdriver and a hammer. Chisel and straight line atvthe halfway mark. Keep going over it then go tobthe middle and drive the screwdriver through withvthe hammer and it will break
