    how long b4 offering food
once a female has laid and I have removed eggs, cleaned tub, gave her a soak in warm water ..how long should I wait before trying to get her back on feed? ..its been 2 days since she laid & its my first clutch of eggs ever, so just dont want to stress her out by trying to feed too soon.
    thanks

I've had them eat the same day they lay.

Depend on the girl some eat same day some eat a week later some take longer.

I just offer food on my regular feeding day regardless of how long it has been since the female laid her eggs.

This is what I do. If she skips two feedings, I'll give her a little break (at least 1-2 feedings off) before offering food again.

Same here. They generally shed 2-3 weeks after laying, so I like to get 2-3 feedings in before they shed.

Once you remove the eggs and clean the tub I usually offer food the same day. Without the egg scent she will most likely take a meal.

okay thanks I will def. go ahead and offer her food...

also its day 4 of incubation and I put eggs in hatchrite and they are dimpling in a little bit...I used to breed bearded dragons and know thats an indication of drying out...I had holes poked in the plastic container lid, so I replaced it with a lid w/o holes and put 1 ounce of water in the hatchrite...apparently bp eggs require higher humidity than beardie eggs bc I never had this problem with beardies...I put a small bowl of water in the incubator as well...how long should it take for signs of improvement or do you guys think I should switch to vermiculite to hold humidity better?

You can place some press and seal over the egg box then place the cover on, no holes necessary, you can open every few days for air exchange. if they are dimpled badly you can place a damp (not wet) paper towel over the clutch and leave overnight.

okay thanks...i also read that damp sphagnum moss might work...I keep a lot of dart frogs so I have tons of moss so I might try that...the humidity is up now b/c condensation is forming but eggs are still dimpled from first 2 days of me not knowing what to do lol. If I do the moss or paper towel should the eggs fill back out? or as long as they dont get any worse should that be okay if they stay like they are?
