Concerned about Scales on my girl
So. I don't know if its anything to be concerned about but for a while the scales on my girl have been looking a little funky.

it looks orange here but in life she's got this little pink spot where it looks like its like bruised or thinner scaled here???

She's also got this thing going on where its like a slight depression on her back?
I know snake scales aren't going to be perfect all the time but I'm just concerned if its something I've never heard before or its just more noticable because she's white

looks like wear and tear. they use their scales for climbing and for movement and to hold on, so its normal for a few scales to get dented or folded up or scratched. the shedding process repairs all these little signs of wear and tear.

and the last picture, thats just the muscles in action. when the muscles are tense and the snake is in a weird position, this happens. in a different body position it should be gone. you get that in well-trained humans as well, when the muscles are very tense, the skin temporarily sinks in around and between them.

so, no worries, and this is a nice looking BP :)

ah that's what I figured the last picture I'll handle her later today and see if it goes away but it didn't look like tension. I'll keep an eye out on that. Thanks!

I don't think I'd be too worried either. She's soooo gorgeous!

Yeah my pied had a couple of scales like that when I first got her but after she shed everything went back to normal. I wouldn't be too worried. I think it's just easier to notice on white areas then multicolored scales if not we'd notice them all the time

I had some stuff like that crop up on one of my snakes after some off-roading on his part (aka an escape attempt). It came right off when he shed and he looked brand new after. :)
