    Better 2014 project
I am looking into getting a breeding project started. I was wondering what you think will be a better investment for the future. I am debating between a crystal project and enchi lesser fire pinstripe combos.

What do you think will be a better option going forward. Its not about the money, but I also dont want to be feeding the babies I cant sell for months or years. Im asking this as a way to save myself money on the babies i cannot sell.

I like both projects and the possible outcomes, thats why im asking.

    Thanks in advance

I'd say enchi lesser fire pinstripe combos, since crystals are kind of a dead end street. There is only so much you can do with them.

Oh really, i didnt realize that . I have seen some pinstripe crystals and lemon blast crystals that look pretty sweet, and havent seen may of those for sale or really around.

crystals are not a dead end, they have awesome colors and the pattern is intact.

i would say it depends on the specific pairings you can do, and what results can be expected from each of them.

with so many nice double-gene female combos, it would be a shame to breed just a single-gene male to them. i think with so much genetic power on the female side, with jigsaw and pastave and firefly and mojo lesser BEL, it would be a shame to breed males to them that are inferior or comparable. in both plans i see pairings where the female is more valuable than the male. this makes no sense.

also, can you be sure one male will be able to deal with 5 or 6 females? i heared breeders use ratios like 1:3 or 2:5.

and how many of the BPs you mention do you already have?
