    Finally Smitty ate! It's been over 2 months since we got him and this is the first time he ate for us AND it was f/t (he was used to p/k, but he wouldn't even eat that for us). I'm very happy his fast is over, now the next step is switch him to rats.

    cool ! im glad for ya ..........and smitty ;), good luck with rats, i just made the switch myself, it wasnt hard at all, i didnt scent the rat either, hope it works out for ya :)

    yeah! congrats! you must be SO happy. :mrgreen: that's awesome that he ate f/t for you too. hopefully he'll keep it up and switch over to rats with no troubles. :P

    sweet! rex is on small rats, and doesnt have much of an appetite. im gonna end up feeding him evry 10-14 days. he just womnt take rats well

    bigger prey items also take longer to digest so he might just not be as hungry.

    Thanks guys. I realized though that it's already the end of August so we've actually had Smitty almost exactly 3 mos. Anyway, just happy he ate.

    Since switching Sophie to rats and after her last feeding, I decided to start her on a 10 day feeding schedule b/c she's getting really fat!
