gravid habbits

When a snake is gravid will they generally still eat and shed the same amount/time or does this change up at all?

I am just wondering if it causes them to stop eating or can it increase eating like in humans? An if they will continue to shed during that period.

Typically they stop eating after ovulation ( or even before ) but sometimes a much smaller meal might be accepted.

Shedding changes in terms of the timing and duration as they have a prelay shed 30-35 days before laying.

When she is building the female will generally eat a lot to put into developing the follicles - though they are only "gravid" after ovulation.
