Buying my first rack
Hey everyone,
I am considering buying my first rack, but I cant decide what size I should get. The racks im looking at are all based on Iris bin sizes, and im trying to decide between MCB-L and CB-70 bins.
Currently I have a (beautiful) lesser female that ways probably only about 450g (ive never actually weighed her), and so she is a bit small for either the sizes I am looking at. I have also looking at another 4-500g male ball python and 1 or 2 1200-1400g females that I am strongly considering picking up. So not I have to either buy something that the larger ones will be to big for, or get one that is too large for some of the smaller balls and wait for them to grow into it.
One thing I have been considering, is to get a CB70 rack and for the smaller BPS, and tape a cardboard box to the first 1/3 of their bin to make them feel like they are in a smaller and more secure bin.
Has anyone tried this? What do you think of the idea? Also, what size of an enclosure do you guys keep your ball pythons in?
I look forward to hearing from you,

I have 3 males, and a juvenile female, I purchased the iris sweaterbox rack from ReptileBasics. When my female gets big I will eventually buy a CB70 from ReptileBasics, but for now, my sweaterbox does just fine. My biggest male still has room to stretch out, and move around.
I'd say both the sweaterbox, or CB70 would work for you, it's a matter of having 4 tubs or 3. I will end up keeping my males in the iris rack, and my females in the CB70, that way the females have more room since they tend to grow bigger anyway.
