    The escaped piebald thread
So I figured I'd log this on the off chance I do find her, maybe it'll help someone in the future. I know I've been reading and ton of lost snake threads and wishing I'd find her in the places other people have.

She escaped the night of 3/28 in the living room of my apartment. She's still missing. As of yesterday I have a kritter keeper with two mice, a heat mat, a hide on top of the mat, and flour in a line in front of the fridge. I saw a smooth zig zag line in the dust under the fridge the morning after her escape. The temps have dropped with the rainstorms all week so I don't think she'll be moving much. I've added a space heater oscillating in front of the fridge to push the mouse smell to her (I think she's there anyways) and to encourage her to move with the heat.

Staking it out tonight on the living room floor with garbage bags against various walls and under the couch so I can hopefully hear her move if she does. Tomorrow I'll be setting up the soda bottle traps. Didn't get around to doing that today. The living room, kitchen, and bathroom have been torn apart item by item. The boys room has been rifled through twice (lots of stuff in there but I went through everything). My room has been inspected even though even with pushing down on the carpet I'm sure her head would get smooshed trying to fit through.

You'd think being half white and the brown carpet this would of been an easy search. Hopefully she didn't make it out of the apartment somehow.

dam good luck .. I lost my boy pastel and didn't find him for like 2 or 3 weeks later he snuck back into the snake room and was behind the rack stuck in between 2 storm windows with a horrible stuck shed on him .. but hes great now .. I thought I lost him for good tho .. the screen door to the porch was open and it was summer here I thought he went outside and was gone .. funny I had to move the rack the day I did and I didn't even see him someone was in the room with me and seen him and was like is that one of ur snakes ...

good luck on ur search ... sometimes there right there .. or if u think shes under the fridge she may have got stuck so I would drop the fridge and look under it

Whenever I have had a runner I find them within 10ft of their cages. I don't know if this is the norm but it has been pretty consistent for me.

See I keep hearing stuff like that. I never get normal snakes though. When Allure got out he went under my door, all the way down the hallway, under my parents door, and positioned himself in the blankets that covered the little dog crate. Apparently the dog didn't sleep very well that night. :P

No luck last night. I think I'm going to have to sleep on the couch instead of the floor though. I've got bad hips and they're killing me this morning. I didn't think she'd move last night though since it's freezing in here. I tend to prefer the mid/high 80s too.

Best of luck. Have you tried moving the fridge to take a peak underneath and inside the "guts" of it?

Yep. We had the fridge moved out for two days and I checked it every time I walked by. I'm thinking of taping the fridge doors shut and having someone help me lay it on the side to see up in there better.

You should really find a way under the fridge. They put off a good deal of heat, perfect for her to crawl up and hangout. if you seen evidence she was in the area, start looking into the appliances(Fridge, dishwasher, oven ect).

Making my rat rack and heard a plop in the wall heater. She's above the wall heater, not in a pipe, and we can't get to her. Grrrrr.
