How predictable are ovulations year over year?
I did a few searches and nothing popped up. Thread title pretty much says it all. If a female ovulated on, let's just arbitrarily say Jan 1 last year... what is the biggest swing you've experienced in terms of when she will go in a subsequent year? Added a poll for simplicity.

    Thanks

I would say that about half my girls go within a month of their ovulations from the last season, but the other half are within about a 2 month window. If the girls take a year off, the window can be even bigger. I also pair year round, so I dont know if that affects it at all.

I'm still waiting on 2nd year ovulations. I'll get back to you on that ;)

I had a girl who ovulated, went through pre-lay shed, and laid, all on the exact same days as the year prior.

This is giving me hope! My pewter is BIG right now but she didnt Ovy till May last year. My lesser cinnamon every time I put him in there locks with her neck, side, himself, etc. but not her tail. I wish I could just reach in and line him up, but having rain consistently over the next week is probably the next best thing.

So we had our Pinstripe girl ovulate last year on March 31st and this year on March 30th :D.
And one of our Normal females oulated 12-02-2012, 17-01-2013 and 22-01-2014 :), so I guess pretty close :).
All other girls are first time breeders, so cannot compare :).
