    Will they go this season
So I'm looking to get a pair of proven breeders shipped to me next week , the female wasn't bred this year. If I give them some time to acclimate and give them a meal or two , could they breed like the beginning of may or would that be too late ? Will the shipping process be too stressful and make her not go anyway?

What are your plans for quarantine?

I didn't plan on qt Ing them. They're coming from a trusted source

There isn't really an excuse not to QT. They'll need time to themselves after shipping anyway, and by then you'll be rushing the deadline. I wouldn't count on her taking this season, honestly. So you now have plenty of time to QT.

Nothing good ever come out of being in a rush.

First you need to keep those animals in QT from your collection or other animals (2 to 3 months), if you do not have any other animals you still need to assess those animals.

Many older animals when changing environment will stop eating all together.

    Breeding is about PATIENCE

As for not wanting to QT because they come from trusted source I would encourage you to think again, I don't care who the animals come from, I only buy or do breeder loan from/with trusted source myself and I still QT for 3 months, why because I value my animals and have too much invested to risk to lose it all.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I was in kind of a rush because I was excited to finally get a clutch of ball python eggs but I don't want to ruin everything with anything that could go wrong. So I'll just qt then for a couple months then plump them up and hopefully get even more eggs for next year! And waiting game begins again ... :)
