    Heat options for new cage?
I am taking a 55 gallon tank and laying it on it's side. The back and sides I am replacing with wood. The front will be plexiglass. My question is what do I use to keep up ambient temps? Right now I have a heat lamp shining on the top of the tank and a UTH both controlled by a thermostat. I would like to get away from the heat lamp as it sucks up my humidity. Would flex-watt heat tape on the sides give off enough heat to keep temps up? Any other options?
