Anyone been to Asheville NC and have food / other recommendations?

Hello folks!
I'm going on a trip to Asheville next week with my husband for spring break and need recommendations on where to eat, stay, etc. I've been researching online and there seems to be an insane amount of good restaurant choices, so I'm not sure where to go.

Also, I'd appreciate any feedback on parking, or lack thereof, in the downtown area where the shops / restaurants are. I'm hazarding a guess that we might be better off staying somewhere within walking distance, but if parking is plentiful, that wouldn't be an issue.

Already planning on one day at Biltmore, one day to do the city / food scene, and possibly a day for hiking (I've heard there are great waterfalls around). I looked for herp-centric stuff but found nothing online, but if you know of any great reptile shops or wildlife centers that would be great too.

If you have any input, I'd greatly appreciate it!
