    Tip-Proof Water Dishes
Tip-Proof Water Dishes I see them in all these snake racks and snake tank enclosures. So where do you all get them and where are they the least expensive? The ones I've seen are like $8 a pop. Thanks.

Links would be great. If not just the name of the store is fine and the name of the item. I checked my local stores but nothing good in stock.

I'm not sure what you're referring to, but I just use porcelain ramekins, they are pretty cheap (I paid $2.00 each at Target and they are about 4 inches across) and heavy enough not to tip over. My biggest snake is only 1000g though, so I'm not sure how tip resistant they are for larger or very active snakes.

Oh, I found them. I have these:

Also you can probably find ramekins in dollar stores.

Target carries large plastic dog bowls for about $3-4 that are wider at the bottom than the top. Brand name on the side is "Boots & Barkley". You can also cut an access hole to the underside with a dremel so they do double-duty as a hide for BP's up to about 1200 grams.

The only bowl that i know to be "tip proof" is the tubs that have the bowls molded into them like the ars racks. The trick is having a bowl the same diameter on top and bottom. We use 4" pvc couplers from lowes with deli cups from tsk supply. Those get tipped so we switch the tippers to some bowls we got from walmart for like $3.

I use big dollar store porcelain bowls and bury them in the bedding. keeps them anchored really well.

This is what we use, even our 3kg Mojave can't tip it over. It's ceramic and about 7" across. Amazon has them in different sizes.

This is similar to what i use, doubles as a hide, and if there's enough water in it, it's pretty hard for them to tip (My x-large very active corn hasn't tipped his yet, neither have any of the other 7 snakes.........:snake:
