    Tub security (DUW)

1/4-20x1/2 socket head cap screw and thump screw knob.

    Insert screw into knob.

7/16 aluminum rod stock. Roughly 1inch long. 7/16 fits in the lip on the outside edge of sterling tub. Rod stock drilled and tapped (1/4-20). http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/21/8yny3y8u.jpg
I then melted holes through the top of the lid as well as the lip on the tub. The thump screw then goes through the lid and tub.http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/21/yzenyvyh.jpg
The rod stock goes in the lip of the tub.http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/21/yja5yzeg.jpg. I did this in 4 place around the tub. Let me know what you think.

Definitely a secure tub. Now the real question, what kind of monster is living in that tub that you have those for lol?

Looks nice.. I just use the giant bulldog (binder) clips and clip them several places around the tub. Your method is more secure, I'm sure. :D How easy are those to get off the tub?

Not bad actually. You only need a few threads to catch for it to be secure. The part that's kind of a pain is finding a way to keep the rod stock in the lip. I tried a cheap 2 part epoxy. That didn't even stick to the tub. Any suggestions are welcome

O.o Not gonna lie, figured you were caging something more fierce than a ball when I saw the pics. Better to over secure than under secure I guess. That or you have a ball python who is possessed by Satan himself.
