    Aluminum tape question
I'm using aluminum tape to cover the mesh screen on top thinking it was an improved idea to the aluminum foil tactic for humidity . Any drawbacks to this? Should I worry about his tongue sticking through?http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/14/y3avuqad.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/14/ube7urat.jpg

my concern is that aluminum tape is VERY sticky and has sharp edges. if he does venture to the top, I can see a couple different accidents happening.

you can always use seran wrap and coat the outside in duct tape to stabilize it and prevent their little tongues or scales from coming in contact with adhesive. heck, you could coat it in alu-tape, if you can, solve the razor-sharp edge issue.

I prefer to err on the side of caution.

Tape and snakes do not mix well at all.

I actually just wrapped my screen tops I just used some pieces of aluminum foil covered the top, you can also do this with seran wrap like someone previously mentioned and then use duct tape to tape the foil or wrap down tight to the screen. I used black duct tape because it looks better to me. Then cut out a hole for your heat lamp and your good to go :) no worries and works like a dream!

I agree about no tape. At least not in a way that the snake will have the possibility to come in contact with it.
I learned that the hard way once..
