Updates of my holdback Pewter/Sterling Bee
Still not 100% on this guy, but the way he looks I really couldn't care less whether or not he has the second pastel gene. This guy is AWESOME! Just around 350g at this point and very friendly while also eating like a champ.

So what do you think... sterling, pewter, or it doesn't even matter!

    I voted Pewter Bee.
I don't see that extra pastel. A sterlingbee typically doesn't have dark head markings like that.

That's my thinking as well Satomi, but the amount of yellow on this guy is nuts. I'm not sure the pictures capture it too well, but there is barely any white on his sides. I know black pastel works out differently but after seeing this one recently on Ben Renick's site and a few others I've seen on the web it had me wondering:

This one is listed as Silver Streak Spider, so the black pastel equivalent of Sterling Bee

The other consideration is that there could be granite involved as well which I know typically will darken and busy up an animal, so not sure if that's factoring in as well. Also, the fading of his blacks and extremity of his blushing compared to the sister is high contrast. Time will tell, but I just wanted to post some pics because I think he's great either way!
