    Very Lucky
A few weeks ago I decided I wanted a new pet. I've always liked snakes but never knew how friendly they can be and how incredibly easy and inexpensive they are to take care of. I did a boat load of research on different beginner snakes and found that ball pythons really struck my interest. While researching, I saw that my local pet store was having a sale on their two baby ball pythons for $45. I couldn't resist. So I pulled the trigger and drove to the store to handle each of them to find out which one I preferred. I ended up choosing the male who was younger/smaller of the two and named him Bruce (I'm a big Batman fan, "Bruce Wayne" :P).

I love him to death. I handle him frequently and he has never even attempted to bite me, the only thing that makes him skittish is if I touch his head, he will then quickly pull his head away and rest it in a different position. He loves to curl up in my hand or on my lap and hang out with me. I couldn't have asked for a more docile and relaxed BP.

When doing research I found that BPs can sometimes be finicky about eating, but Bruce's feeding response has been awesome. I have fed him 5 fuzzies so far and he immediately gobbles them down without hesitation. This makes me feel good because now I know that I am taking proper care of him and I am not stressing him out.

Anyway, I just wanted to share that with you guys and start being active in the BP community (since this is my first post). I'll post a few pictures of my little dude below.

Bruce is very cute! He sounds a lot like my Ella. She's very chill. Just loves to hang out on my lap. Welcome to the site and the BP addiction! :D

Congrats! Beware, they are like potato chips...you can never have just one! One suggestion, he looks big enough to move up to rat pups.

This, if he's been eating mice fuzzies it's no wonder he gobbles them up, most hatchlings can start on rat fuzzies which are much bigger.

Welcome to the forum. Your bp looks nice, however like the previous post stated. You may want to start feeding him fuzzy rat pups. You will see better growth and he will eat one, instead of multiples at each feeding.

Posts like this bring back fond memories. :)
Congratz on the new BP! You think he's eating like a hungry dinosaur now but wait until next winter. ;) He'll be a pain in the crack to feed, but you'll get over it. hehe Anyway, hopefully one of these days you'll be holding a 4 foot/5 foot python and you'll remember this day when you first got him and feel like a proud python parent. :) Enjoy your awesome new pet - snakes are the best!

And like the others said, be sure to get him on rats soon!
