Is there a catnip for Ball Pythons? That would make them go crazy, run around and chase their tail?

I was thinking something along the line of a pheromone or similar. I guess mouse scent would draw attention in a feeding response type of way. Possibly a trail of mouse scent could be used to give him something to track when outside the cage. Although what would be the best way to implement and test that.
Do male BP's track females in the wild by pheromones?
Bought my first BP a few weeks ago, a young citrus pastel. Just trying to make his life more interesting, give him some mental stimulus.

BPs don't really... need mental stimulation. Snakes in general aren't smart enough to need it. They spend their day sleeping or waiting for a rodent to walk by so they can nab it. A BP is not a dog, and the most interesting part of their week is the part where you drop a rat in so they can eat. They don't really care about much else. BPs don't "track" scents, they wait for a stupid mouse or rat to walk by their hide and eat. Or they don't, and they don't eat. They're opportunistic feeders, not hunters.
Sorry if this bursts your bubble, I guess. If you want an animal to play with, get a cat or a dog.

Your new snake's brain, when full grown, will be about the size of a black-eyed pea. Not a lot of higher functions going on in there.
