    Frustrating Trade Process
Hi everyone! I recently joined this great forum and posted on the breeding section but thought I would introduce myself again. My name is Nima Zaer and I'm the owner of Blue Dragon Reptiles. I keep and breed GTPs and this will be my first year breeding BPs. I have a small collection of codom combos, but after getting my first clown male I'm hooked. So I decided to concentrate my breeding projects on producing clown combos. A couple of weeks ago I put most of my collection up for sale in order to get a head start on my new projects. A guy replied to my ad and offered a trade for some het clown babies he produced. After talking a few times and sending some pics we decided on a couple of trades. Last week we talked and he asked for more pics, which I sent right away. I also asked him to text or email me copies or pics of the paperwork for the hets I'm getting. After a week of his excuses I finally said to myself this isn't going to work for me. I would rather produce my own hets so I know exactly what I have. My male seems to be an awesome breeder and has locked with two females so far and more are in the works. I should also mention that I have a few het clowns with proper paperwork I've purchased from reputable breeders. Anyway thanks for listening and let me know what you would do in this situation.

You did the right thing. This hobby is full of people like the one you describe in your post. There are far too many reputable breeders out there for you to be dealing with idiots and scammers.

Good luck on your Clown project.

Sounds more like a flake than a scammer. A scammer would have pushed the deal and sold a non-het for het price, with you not proving it out for a year or so.

Stay in any business for long enough, and you find you deal with flakes all the time.
