Bedding questions

Hey everyone, i plan on changing the bedding in both my tanks this weekend and i have a question.
Im currently using aspen shavings (the bigger pieces, not the shredded thinner aspen) and i was wondering if there is a type of bedding for them that would help keep the humidity up a bit? I currently have tin foil on the screen right now and 42-44 is the lowest itll go without without misting it all the time except for in shed (last shed both had perfect sheds, the whole head and mouth and eyes were completely intact so cool!). And i was also wondering if switching the bedding would effect the snakes at? Theyre healthy 6-7 month old normal bp's.

As a general rule, snakes aren't affected by a change in substrate. You might want to look into something that hold humidity better than aspen. Aspen can start to mold if it stays too wet from constant misting.

Are your BPs housed together or separately?

Bought them housed together so i put another tank and seperated them. And ya thats what im on the hunt for gonna do some google research

I've had good luck with Cypress Mulch. Comes out of the bag damp and holds humidity well. I ended up mixing it because the humidity was a bit too high.
