    Another New Arrival.
Forgot to add this gal on here. Got her in last week from Tom Crutchfield. She's a cute little Dominican Red Mountain Boa. Now I have a 1.1 pair. Can't wait for them to put on some size and give me some babies lol. Anyhow, here she is:

She will get really red as she grows. Stay tuned!

Nice! How the heck are you quarantining all these new snakes though?

Lol good question. A lot that I got, within a very short period of time, were all from the same breeder housed together, so the reality is with them, I don't see any need to quarantine something that was already housed together.

The only other person I've got a snake from was Tom. This one is in the same room but as far away as it could get from the rest of my collection. The main disease I worry about is IBD, and beepers die quickly from it, while boas do not necessarily. So if a boa has it, it can take upwards of a year or more to show signs. Nobody quarantines for that long that I know of.

Aside from that particular disease, everything gets a bath, treated with reptile relief, and enclosure sprayed with PAM.

And if something has an RI, or comes from another breeder, or from someone I am not sure of, they go in my other snake room for quarantine.

Congratulations on the Dominicans. You don't see too many of those around, and good luck on your future breeding projects.
