What happened to the scaless ball pythons?

I Havent heard any new information about the scaless have you guys heard anything new?

they are growing.

as far as i know, there are still only two visuals in existence, BHB reptiles has both. and there has been one confirmed sale of scaleless heads, from BHB to Mike Wilbanks / Pythonregius.

so thats what i gathered, there are a couple of scaleless heads being bred into morphs. there are two scaleless ones. and two breeders have the gene.

apart from that, no news. except that in a snakebytesTV episode, Brian said that a pinstripe scaleless head male will soon be ready to breed, giving him the opportunity to aim for a scaleless pinstripe. over the next years we will see exponential growth in the numbers of scaleless heads and scaleless that are being produced, thats quite clear, but right now i guess most of these BPs are not sexually mature, especially most of the female scaleless heads are too young.

i would love to hear about any and all updates, like when new stuff hatches, or when there is another sale of scaleless heads. but it seems like we have to wait.

Should see some being auctioned off real soon!!!

initially i thought exactly the same way. but then, the optics are just too beautiful. also the visual scaleless heads mean that the gene is really easy to work with. you can have the gene floating around in your collection, and you still have perfect control, and can decide if you want to produce fully scaleless, or avoid producing them, or only produce them with certain extra genes.


anyway, about updates.... considering how many views the thread got, i guess there are no updates at this point?

I think there may have been someone in Europe who bought a Scaleless Head from BHB too but I'm not certain on that! I just remember seeing a picture of one floating around with the name of a European breeder attached but that could mean anything.

Looks like the Scaleless BPs are growing good so far though (anyone hear any mention of the weight on them? Because I almost feel like once hatchlings are in the 250+ gram range, they're kind of out of the rocks) so I'm confident that they'll make it. I hope that Brain brings one of them to Tinley in October so I can see it in person! :D
