    Fuzzy feeding questions

This is the best pic I have for the size of my BP, I havent gotten around to buy a scale yet so not quite sure his weight but he's 6 months old. A couple days ago I tried feeding him a Hopper Mice & he was not havin' it, I left in his enclousure as well but still didn't go near it. So I bought a size down from a Hopper mice, which was fuzzies. They're the Arctic Mice brand. I fed it to him tonight & he snagged it right up right away. But I'm not sure if it was enough for him. After he got it down, he went back in his hide & stuck his head out & was in that "S" position, almost like he was waiting for another one. Should I go ahead & try to give him another one or just wait for the next feed? & i also attached a picture of how big the fuzzies were. I know you go by the biggest part of the snakes belly but since he wouldn't take the Hopper, I thought just sizing down one & if I needed to, just feed him another one. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/02/y3ajy4at.jpg

Fuzzy mice are too small...Most hatchlings can be started on hopper/small mice...

You can try to feed two if he will take it or you can feed him more often but definitely try to go up in size like coldbloodaddict suggested.

He took the 2nd one but he lost interest after striking. Next week I'll try the hopper again & see how that goes. Thanks!

Fuzzy are too small, in my pinion the prey size is not the issue, you need to examine your husbandry something else is the issue, at that age your BP should be VORACIOUS, if kept in optimal conditions.

Next week throw a rat weanling or crawler in there. He's using more calories to eat and digest a fuzzy than he is getting in return.

I know the fuzzies were going to be too small but he wouldnt take the bigger one the last time I tried feeding so I downsized it & if he took it, I would give him another to satsify him. This was more or less than a trial run! Just to see if he would eat one & he did so now I know that I can try to go up the size more. & my temps in my tank & humidity are pretty much spot on. I can't see it being that the issue but I'll double check.

My ball python, Phred, just started eating rat fuzzies and he is MUCH smaller than the one you have right now. I would go up to a weaned rat.

Okay, I talked to the breeder I got him from & he said he was eating rat fuzzies! Not sure if I should order rat fuzzies then since he said thats what he was feeding him or weaned, I'll have to do some more investigating. Thank you!
