Holy crap!!

State wide legislation is getting downright ugly this year!

For those of you with information, please keep me and the rest of us updated on this kind of stuff, and let us know who is getting involved and how. We'd really like to know!
What has everyone else done so far on the prevention front?

I contacted the Senate committee members in WV about the hearing this Monday, as well as my own (he's not on the committee). I would love to go speak in person but it's a six hour drive if nothing goes wrong, and we have 8-12 inches of snow in the forecast for that day.

I'm starting to fear that the government will come for my guns and my snakes....but I can tell you now they won't be getting them.

I'm in Louisiana and most of my collection is boa constrictors. Hope I'm not considered an outlaw soon, not to mention my hobby ending and the money I've spent on it.

I've sent emails to all the senators listed and posted on some of their facebook pages.

Please help if you have time by sending emails, etc...

I have no idea how some members of the WV House and Senate manage to breathe, much less get elected year after year... and what's crazier is that people vote for them!

We've been pounding the phones on HB4393. Not one but TWO senators said they plan on voting for the bill because of the (I kid you not) DANGEROUS SNOW SNAKE - http://www.onlinethreatalerts.com/ar...-message-hoax/.

That's right, the freaking internet hoax has them worried "because there have been deaths".

I can not post my true thoughts or I would get banned.

All I can say is you better spam the hell out of their inbox with that link.
Personally, I would never bother in recognizing and obeying a law with just an outrageous stupid reason/comment like that. I'd just tell them "up theirs" if that law passes.

I have a clearance and an FFL. Violating laws, even stupid ones passed by my ignorant and uneducated elected officials, is not an option if I wish to keep my business and my day job.

Well the situation just got worse! The bill was amended today, instead of stating "all boas" it now states "all constrictors over six feet". Some female BP's get bigger than that!

Also, it used to say vipers and rear-fanged venomous, now it's just "all venomous" so add garter snakes to the list!
