Fed rat for the first time

Phred has the rat wrapped up, hoping that he actually eats it, but he is taking his own sweet little time. Of course, it is a more appropriately sized prey and may take him a little while to get it down! :)

Also, he's eating from the back end first instead of the head...is that normal? Seems so odd to me.

Feels like the fiirst time...feels like the very first time.

Back end first is ok, just takes a little while longer. It'll eventually learn head first or the snake will get big enough where it won't matter.

A lot of times they'll start back end first, then flip it around to take it head first...either way...as long as it goes down...:)
