    Folicles
This is my females 2nd winter and i can feel 4 folicles.
Does that mean shes ready to breed or is the weight of her the most important thing. I do not have a scale yet but do not think shes 1500 grams yet maybe 1000.
I would never harm any of my pets in any way so if its weight then no go for sure.
Just for more knowledge I would like to know what the outcomes are for breeding underweight.

Ok I see you are a senior member ( :bow:much respect:bow: ) and im not trying to insult you in anyway cause I have heard alot to not breed females under 1500 grams or Is this an exception because she is telling me shes ready. I am in no hurry to breed if I should wait till next season I got no problem doing that. I am an experienced keeper but not breeder. My thoughts are if shes not up to size the eggs wont have enough room to properly form and/or when she lays them they could hurt her coming out. It would make me feel alot safer if I could get more advice on this situation.

Obviously she is ready if she has follicles...If she wasn't sexually mature she would not have follicles!

I have bred quite a few girls under 1500 grams...You have already said you don't even know her weight...Get a scale and weigh her...

Also start feeding her more to get her weight up...I feed breeding females twice a week.

Are you positive she has follicles? I don't want to tell you to chuck a male in with a 900 gram female that doesn't have follicles...But if your sure she has follicles breed her...

Yes I am sure cuase I practice feeling for them everytime I have put her back in the past year, and I know what poo feels like and these arent poo. The poo is after and its oblong not marbles.
