Using a search bar would be a start. Just type "live to f/t" and im sure you'll discover a lot threads on this subject.

Btw, i'm not trying to be rude or sarcastic. Just trying to be informing.

Actually you are extremely rude and I don't appreciate it. I joined a forum to ask questions about peoples personal ways of doing things. If I wanted to look it up myself (which Ty I have) I wouldn't have joined a forum.

I didnt see how Misha's taking the time out their life to help you was rude. But any who the only 100% successful method of this transition is as follows: Step 1 sell live feeder snake, Step 2 buy f/t feeder snake. Hands down best method ever :D

When I'm initially trying to make the switch I wait an extra week to make sure the snake is good and hungry. Gives me a better chance of him/her striking immediately. I try to feed as close to night time as possible, and I make sure to put the f/t under a heat lamp for about five minutes to warm it up to better attract the snake. Most hatchlings switch over for me after a week or two, adults can be much more stubborn. Generally I like to get everyone switched to f/t as quickly as possible since you can buy them in bulk so much cheaper than live. I also hate rats and don't want any live ones in my house!

Anyway, patience is key. There might be some skipped meals as the snake holds out for a live prey, but generally they'll cave and snatch up the f/t offered. I only have a few adults that force me to feed live. The rest I've trained to the point where I can put the dead rat on the floor by their hide opening before going to bed, and the next morning it's gone. if you're working with a hatchling you might not want to wait them out as long as an adult you're switching over.

Can you give us some info on the animal your trying to switch to f/t? How old is the snake? Older animals are usually harder to switch. Also, what methods have you tried to switch? The most important thing you need is patience and persistence. :) I'll try to help you out the best I can.

I have looked this question up got alot of information. I asked a simple question on a forum to get peoples personal experience on what works best for them. ty to those who are nice to reply. everyone else is on the rag and if my question pissed you off that much just dont reply.
