Breeding question

If a pair has a lock but you keep them in the same tank after would try keep trying to copulate or avoid each other afterwards? I put a pair together and they would generally stick together in the tank. I saw what was probably a lock once but couldn't complexity tell from the angle. But now they just completely avoid each other in the tank.

The situation varies, the male will usually try to breed as much as he can, which could lead to health problems, hence why there's a suggested cycling of the male, 3 days in then 3-4 days rest and feeding. If you witness a lock before 3 days you can remove him and offer a small meal. then rest 3 days before putting him in with her again.

If you notice a male wont lock with a certain female but will lock with others simply try switching the female to an already scented tank of another female and put the male in with her... always does the trick for me.
