A few questions on feeding.
Hello all. It has been about 4 years since I have kept a ball python and with my previous one it only ate live so I always moved it into a separate container to eat. My new one that I got on the 10th seems to eat thawed mice fine without any mouse puppetry needed. So I am curious to know if it is ok just to put the thawed mouse in the tank instead of moving him like I did last week. Any issues doing that? Will it make him a bit aggressive?
Also I just want to make sure I fed the right size mouse last week so I will add a pic. He is about 18-20 inches long not sure about the weight though. Thanks everyone

Re: A few questions on feeding.
No, it will not make him cage aggressive. Feed him in his enclosure where he's comfortable.
I have about 3 dozen snakes at home ranging in size from juvenile garters to large-ish (and still growing) BCI's, plus a 17 foot retic being quarantined off-site. None get moved to a separate area for feeding.
Re: A few questions on feeding.
Thanks for your input . It worked fine . I went into my room about two hours after putting the mouse in and it was gone . So 2 weeks and 2 successful feedings :) . Can anyone help with my second question about the prey size?
