new job maybe

I might be getting this mgr. spot at petco ... im always in there and today I was in there just looking at the reptiles like always and this pour bp was in such a horrible shed that I had to complain .. but I guess I complained to the right person cause she was a mgr also and told me she wanted me to work there and run the small animal and reptile sections .. she gave the store mgr all my info and told me he should be calling me soon .. so lets see what happens .. but she was telling me that the guy that runs the department has no clue what he is doing and how to feed or take care of half of the reptiles .. its a bad situation that I can make so much better but they do carry some spices I have not been around that I will have to learn about and ask everyone on here about lol ... but im all game to take it on as fun part time project .. who knows with the intelligence of the people around where I live I should be able to become the store mgr in no time lol

lol ... it happens to the best of us .. auto correct I never pay attention no more unless its underlined ... species / spices ... maybe instead of morphs will call them spices lol ... what new spices did u add lmao ... I hate working overnights .. I think im losing my mind some days

Good luck, hope you get it and it's good for you. I worked at a Petco years ago and worked with great/knowledgable people. They hired me cause I was in there almost daily to look at the reptiles and fish. Manager gave me an interview as a formality.

Warning: If you get to work with decent people and don't have to deal with customers much you should be in good shape. The rules Petco has and the amount of people they typically do not have working can suck the life out of you. Many times, there is less than 1 person scheduled per department. Then again, that job made me realize retail is not for me.

I dont think I could do it...the customer is always right...dont want to lose a customer by calling them out on something stupid. I am not saying you would not be able to help the ones that are looking for knowledge but the people that already know it all would grate on my nerves very quickly.
