    XPVC vs. PVC
Does anyone who's dealt with xpvc know what the difference is between that and regular PVC boards are? I can special order 4x8 boards of 1/2" thick PVC at menards to build a new rack as I can't find any local suppliers of xpvc. Any input is appreciated.

XPVC is actually what you want and what mostly everybody uses. It is also generally cheaper than regular PVC. XPVC stands for Expanded PVC. All the big names like reptile basics use XPVC.

    This^^^^^
Expanded PVC has a cellular core much like styrofoam insulation. It's half the weight of rigid PVC and provides a level of insulation that rigid pvc does not.
