    My Monsoon wasn't getting proper pressure and I found out it was from this.

    Anyone know exactly what this is? Is it like a filter or a back flow stopper? Also how it can be cleaned or fixed? It looks like I should be able to pop the top off of it but it isn't coming off easy and I didn't want to force it and maybe break it if it's not supposed to actually come open.

    it a simple filter to keep impurities out of the unit. I bet you can just buy a replacement one at a pet store or plumbing place. if it comes apart I doubt it be any good after as they are sealed.
    to try and rinse it you could try pumping water backwards from it ( not sure if it has a stopper too ) but that only be a temp fix.

    I soaked it in vinegar and it seems to be clear now.
