    Heating issues already!
Ok i got my new rack right when we moved so i dont know if i need new flexwatt or what. but when the rack had one snake on it it held temps fine when i added more the temps dropped dramatically i dont know if the 3 inch isnt enough or that it was damaged in the move or what. But i was also looking at getting a herpstat for the rack and i am unsure on what to get. is there one that i can have a probe for each shelf? my current tstat is in the middle ish and the snakes temp is only reading 77 and my tstat is reading 92-95. Suggestions?

We use the 3" heat tape on our adult racks no problem. We use a helix thermostat to regulate the temps and probe is on 5th shelf down. Now is your heat tape for every self wired together? Also how do you have the probe attached to the heat tape?

Ok its wired as one strip(how it came) and I have the probe taped to the flexwatt since my tubs try to pull it with

Have you tried turning the thermostat up? With a tub and substrate in between your probe and the snake you should expect some heat loss. Whats the ambient air temperature in the room like?
