    rat sizes+shedding question, please answer
I ordered some rat pups from Mice Direct for my 9 month old ball python, and overall they're pretty good but it feels like they're slightly too small for him, so next time I'll probably order him rat weanlings. after I feed him he still seems hungry, so I don't think it's enough for him. I was wondering if it'd be okay to feed him two rat pups until I use them all up, or would that be too much??

also, he hasn't shed in a little over a month and a half i'm pretty sure, is this okay? he's very healthy overall and has only had 1 bad shed while he's been in my care, other than that, he has awesome sheds. my temperature and humidity levels are spot-on, so that wouldn't be causing the problem. is there a reason why he's not shedding, and is it even anything to worry about??

    cheers

Yes you can feed him two.
Age doesn't mean much with what size rodent to feed though. How much does he weigh?
You want to feed something about the same size as the widest part of him.

Yes, i know those things. I don't know how much he weighs because I don't have anything to measure weight in grams.

    Thank you

He's not shedding because he hasn't outgrown his old skin. Sounds like he might be a bit under fed. Feed him the right size rodent for his width and weight, and he will shed as he grows.
