I currently don't own any reptiles, but I am seriously considering buying a baby ball python from a local pet shop. I've been doing my research over ball pythons, and I'm really excited about getting one (hopefully by the end of this week). My real name is Alex and i'm 20 years old. I'm currently a junior at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. I've been reading through the forums and looking at numerous pics of bp's here. I'm also registered at the herpcenter.com, and i have posted over there as well. I posted a couple of questions and got immediate responses.
Thank you for taking the time to post some of your vast knowledge about reptiles (especially bp's). These forums have been a great help in my research over bp's.
Thanks and Gig'em

wc Eastern Milksnake
Raising babies is great, and many newbie's keep them without any problems. However, don't rule out gettin and established juvi ball python who's past all of the little baby stages that involve changing prey sizes, converting to f/t, etc etc. Just keep researching and see how comfortable you feel about it.

Welcome. :)
Have you considered getting your ball from a breeder? You might save some money and ultimately have a much better chance of getting a really healthy, well-bred snake.
