Ball python shedding

So Dante was in my hands on my bed and he decided to start rubbing his nose on my blanket acting all weird I knew he was starting his shed Bc he was blue 3-4 days ago and cleared up the 2 days after. Before I knew it he was half way threw his body with the shed but his vent still wasn't covered and I saw him start to fill up down there I quickly grabbed him to put him in his cage and within the second I got him he peed on my comforter , urates down my shirt and floor and pooped half on me half in the cage lmao clean the poop and now he is finishing his shed !!! So excited so far he is doing great no retained shed on face or body , just hoping his tail will go threw nice Bc when I bought him he had a retained shed on his tail

Snake poop is the worst bro

When I notice my BP is beginning her shed cycle (orangish/brown belly or blue eyes), I don't handle her until she has completed her shed. It's a lot of work and I don't feel they need extra stress.

Although, even when she is not in her shed cycle, I am always worried about a surprise poop/pee.

Sounds to me like your BP enjoyed letting everything loose outside of her cage lol :)

Ya i usually don't hold during the shed, but he looked so lonely :( hahaha i know I'm a sucker for that adorable face and i had him out on my bed and he started rubbing his nose on my comforter right away and then minutes later poop i didn't want to ruin his shed so i let him do it on my bed, and he has a near perfect shed also just one little spot stayed by his vent , it came off easily didn't even have to soak him
