Opinions on Possible Trade

Ok, so I have my pinstripe female available ('12, 1200g, f/t rat eater) and I just got offered a female pastel lesser for her:

Is she really a pastel lesser and how would you rate her? She is 700g ( he hasn't got back to me with her year) and says she will only take live mice. I have asked what he did to switch her...

Good trade or run far away? Lol

Ok, she hatched 9/12/12. He breeds his own rats... so what are my chances she'll switch? Or just get her on f/t jumbo mice?

I would pass on a mouser female.

I personally won't do mousers or asf feeders normally. If your already breeding mice it might not be too bad.

If its a mouser and he breeds rats .. y isn't it on rats? My snakes eat both so I believe its not hard to switch them over but thats jmo ... She definitely looks pastel lesser/butter ... they look the same to me ..

If I can get her on rats, I think she would be worth it. But that's the big "what if". After doing some searching on here, I saw a video where the keeper fed a live small mouse and then daisy-chained a small f/t rat. After a few feedings, the snake switched... would this work?

Y not .. find a place where u can get rat pups same size as mice .. get them live and throw one of each in her tub ... u know its about what u want and the time ur willing to put in ... this is y I try and get my snakes to eat everything so I have no issues just something I thought would be good .. so almost all my snakes are on f/t and live both rats and mice and if I had access to asf they would eat those 2

That's not the greatest picture but I personally would do that deal.

It all depends what your plans are.

If you're going to breed, then no I wouldn't do it simply because your girl is nearly breeding size for being a young girl(my min on a young girl = 1500, 1200 for a girl who has laid a few clutches already). Though some people do breed at 1200, but I personally wouldn't. Then the fact that the Lesser Pastel girl is eating mice and is only 700g, to get her up bigger to breed is going to take quite awhile longer than if she was eating rats. There are many methods you can try but in the end some just don't switch.

This is all your decision, but I've found it that 95% of the time when a person is asking about doing a trade it's because they've already made up their mind and they want to justify a reason to switch. I personally wouldn't do the trade, but it's your call.

Eh... looks like he's backing out because we would have to ship and I told him that he would have to ship first because he initiated the trade offer. I'll just wait for something better to come along. I'm in no rush to sell/trade my girl.
