Super-stripe and Genetic stripe

What's the difference between the two? Thanks in advance

A super stripe is a double co-dom snake (spector x yellowbelly) and a genetic stripe is a single recessive gene.

super stripe is not a double co-Dom. Specter and Yb are allelic.

Sorry. I'm still a little lost on genetics. So if it takes 2 different co-dom genes to produce a morph and the genes are allelic, that animal is not considered to be a double co-dom?

a super stripe contains two genes/morphs: yellowbelly and specter. and they happen to be allelic, which means they are sitting on the same location in the genome. and both genes are codominant. and when you breed it, half of the offspring will get the yellowbelly gene and the other half would get the specter gene.

so i would still call it a double codom. its just a special case of a double codominant. people also sometimes call them a combined super form, or "acts like a super" combo. other examples for these allelic combos would be mystic potion or vanilla cream.

genetic stripe is a different thing, a different morph, and its a simple recessive. so you need two copies of the same gene to get a visual genetic stripe.

Okay, we are on the same page then. I knew that it acted like a super but when bred it would throw YB and specter with no normal. That is why I called it a double co-dom. Thanks for clearing that up.
