    Shedding PLEASE HELP!!
My Dexter just started his first shed and i put some sphagnum moss in his tank to help with humidity and i was wondering if anyone had any really good tips that they know would help it go any more smoothly?! Also, his skin is very wrinkly and looks almost unhealthy. Other pictures I've seen of shedding BPs still look plump and full just dusty. not wrinkly. Please tell me thats normal:confusd:

It's ok, everything sounds normal. Take a deep breath.

"Wrinkly" skin can be a product of the shed process, he will be ok. If the humidity is proper, he'll shed in one piece. If he doesn't, spray the enclosure down a couple times for 1-2 days after he sheds.

Mine look wrinkly it's all right. Just bump the humidity to around 70% and let the snake do what they do ;)

Usualy they don't eat while in shed. So maybe don't bother with feeding. Usually they shed in 7-10 days :)

i have a glass tank to so i have to spray it a lot to keep the humidity up but ill spray some extra. And I've been feeding him on fridays and his eyes were foggy last friday so i knew he was about to shed but i offered him his hopper anyway and he still ate it so i take that as a good sign that he's healthy!

Cover your tank screen to help retain humidity. You can use a damp towel, tin foil, or plexiglass.

You can also move the water dish to the hot side of the enclosure.
