New arrivals!!!
Hey everybody! Got a few new ones today! And one yesterday. Yes that's 3 in 2 days. Two adults and one baby.
The ones pertinent to this sub forum are my new retics. I already had a platinum mainland female, at about 4', but today I got a mate for her, a male Platinum Tiger(Fire Tiger). Here is the new little guy:

Poor quality pictures but I will get better ones soon.
And the other is a 2 year old male tiger retic. He's 25lbs and about 9ish feet long. Here he is:

Spent a few days with him before picking him up and for a male, and for a retic, he is super mellow, super "tame", as long as you don't try and "hold" onto him.
Let me know what you guys and gals think of the two boys...

Thank you! I'm really wanting some new morph projects for myself like motleys or G-Stripes but can't find any around here.

Re: New arrivals!!!
1. Just saw this thread. It's the weekend, therefore possibly slow.
2. Very nice looking snakes man. gratz on the pickups. :gj: :gj:
3. 2 years and 9 feet?!!??!! I didn't know they grew that big, that fast. :O
4. Retics get 16-20 feet right? What's their typical thickness? For 9 feet, that one looks like it would only eat colossal rats or small rabbits.

Thank you for the compliment!
Ya they grow pretty darn quick. Males usually grow a little slower and def smaller overall size. The record longest retic was 33' and the current living record holder is like 25' 300lbs. So ya they can get big. Females are usually around 8-10' in the first year, but still slender. Typical thickness for a big girl, about as big around as a gallon of paint at the largest point maybe.
And lastly he is on small rabbits(1.5lbs-2lbs)

Re: New arrivals!!!
I remember reading about the longest current living retic. 25' goes from the front of my living room, through my dining room and may extend into my bedroom. That's a long effing snake. Though the "paint can" thickness seems pretty "thin" for a snake that long IMO, which is interesting.
Sometimes reading up on Burms, Anacondas, and Retics makes my head explode. I can only handle them in small doses. ;)
And they are so pretty too.

Ya the current living record is named "medusa" and she's a big big girl. She's def bigger around than a paint can, more like a 5gal bucket lol.
I hope mine get big, maybe not THAT big, but I got retics because their sheer size, along with beautiful paint jobs makes them a stunning animal that demands as much respect as a hot. Just mind boggling seeing a creature alive this day and age so big, so powerful, and so majestic and beautiful at the same time.

Lmao, ya to me they are on par with that. Like a salt water croc, you don't realize the size of a full grown adult until you stand next to one, then your mind explodes from the awesome.
