    New ball python help!
I purchased my first snake last week , a 5 month old BP.
When I have fed it it's been fine and settled in well but when i try to handle her he keeps trying to strike me.
does anyone have any tips on how to tame her? Or get used to getting handled ? I am quite scared about handling her
    I have named her Sydney
    Thanks !

In my experience, the more confidence you have in picking up your snake, the less apt it is to strike. If you are hesitant it is more likely to strike. (Don't know if this is scientifically accurate, but it is my experience.) Also, the more often you handle it, the faster it will get used to it but don't overdo it, maybe once a day for a few minutes and gradually increase the time.

    Other experiences/opinions?

If you feel scared you should wear gloves. It will help you feel a little more safer.

Hello! I also have a snake named Sydney :) but she's a corn.

I would first make sure that her temps and enclosure are alright! Sometimes when it's too hot, or they don't have enough hides, or the vive is all glass, they get uncomfortable. Have you checked over the sticky on enclosures on the main page? I think it's a sticky...
