Meet Sebastian!
Hello everyone! This is a joint account for my girlfriend and I, named after our Ball Python Sebastian. We rescued Sebastian about 4 weeks ago from a Reptile Rescue. They told us he was a Pastel, however after some digging around, we aren't so sure anymore. The reason we are curious to find out it we plan on breeding him in a few years, and we are curious to find out what the best morphs would be to breed him with to get some unique morphs. Any insight on what morph, if any, we have, and what would be best to breed him with, would be much appreciated! Also, it is great to be here!

Re: Meet Sebastian!
That would be a nice normal. I would also second guess the gender of it. You may want to contact someone who actually knows what they are doing with snakes and have them sex it for you.

Re: Meet Sebastian!
A normal? Ok, I had a feeling. So is it possible to breed for morphs with a normal is the female is a morph? Also, we had him sexed at Big Al's, and they confirmed he was a male.

If the female is a morph, yes, you can still produce morph animals but you'll only get genes that she herself is carrying. If you get a female pastel, you will never make anything other than normals and pastels when she is paired with that male, for example.

Re: Meet Sebastian!
Alright, thanks for that. We will keep that in mind for sure.

Re: Meet Sebastian!
He's definitely a normal, and while he's probably not the best breeding stock, kudos to you for rescuing him. Too many people see normals as throw aways, and it is always nice to hear when they get a good home. Welcome to the herp hobby!
